Following a grueling group stage, the knockout rounds produced a tactical showcase of baseline grit and high-intensity volleys as medals were decided across multiple divisions.
In the Men’s 3.5 Singles Open, Pool A heavyweight Donn Trott maintained his flawless form to capture the coveted gold medal. His pool rival Nicholas Butterfield took home a well-deserved silver, while Pool B standout Owen Stewart clinched the bronze.
The elite Men’s 4.5 Singles division treated spectators to a masterclass in power and precision. Ben Jones emerged as the class of the field, delivering a clinical performance under pressure to secure the gold medal over a resilient Jasper Thomas.
More silverware was decided in the ultra-competitive Men’s 4.0 Singles division, where Rian Michelsen demonstrated flawless court coverage to claim the gold medal. Nicolaas Van Der Westhuizen fought valiantly to settle for silver, while Aman Sangareria won a tense third-place playoff to round out the podium with bronze, capping off a spectacular week for local pickleball.
