Nicholas Pilgrim delivered a powerhouse performance on the global stage, fighting his way to a brilliant top-20 finish in the Elite Men’s field at the high-stakes Montreal Triathlon.
Tackling the iconic, lightning-fast asphalt of the Parc Jean-Drapeau Circuit, the young Bermudian proved he could trade blows with the world’s finest multi-sport athletes. Pilgrim crossed the gantry in a highly commendable seventeenth place overall, stopping the clock in an impressive 54 minutes and 42 seconds.
The sprint-distance race demanded maximum intensity from the starting gun. Pilgrim navigated a fierce, crowded 750m open-water swim in 9:30 before locking into a blistering rhythm on the famous racing circuit, clocking a rapid 27:40 for the 20km bike segment.
The contest ultimately came down to a straight footrace on the unyielding pavement. Laying down an aggressive stride, Pilgrim scorched through the final 5km run in a superb 16:21, picking off several rivals in the closing stages.
The resolute display banks invaluable international ranking points, proving Pilgrim’s tactical maturity as he continues to climb toward the sport’s highest echelons.
