As the curtain falls on a spectacular 2025 athletics season, the North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletics Association (NACAC) has released its final outdoor regional rankings, with several Bermudian athletes securing prestigious spots among the elite.
Leading the charge is Olympian Jah-Nhai Perinchief, who ends the year as the eighth-ranked triple jumper in the region. Perinchief’s standout leap of 16.95 metres, achieved in Memphis this past July, solidified his status as one of the Caribbean’s most formidable field athletes.
On the track, the middle-distance contingent showcased remarkable consistency. Nairobi Smith-Mills surged to 19th in the 800m following a personal best of 1:47.67, while Dage Minors claimed 17th in the 1500m with a sharp 3:47.35. Ryan Outerbridge proved his versatility by cracking the top 30 in two separate disciplines, ranking 19th in the 3000m steeplechase and 28th in the 5000m.
The island’s distance and relay programmes also earned year-end honours. Veteran Lamont Marshall ranked 25th in the 10,000m, while the Men’s 4x100m Relay squad—Denver Tucker, Norre Robinson, Miles Outerbridge, and Suresh Black—finished 22nd in the region. This collective success underscores a golden era for Bermudian athletics as the focus shifts toward 2026.
