The Bermuda Health Care Services presents the annual award to the best field player at the Cup Match Classic

The newly renamed Bummy Symonds -Dennis Wainwright Safe Hands Award presented to the most outstanding Annual Cup Match Classic received a financial boost this week.
This year, the renaming will be in effect to reflect the legacy of the late Dennis Wainwright who administered the award up until his passing last December.
Bermuda HealthCare Services (BHCS) announcing today the prize money for the award has been increased to $2,500 from $1,000.
Dr. Ewart Brown, Founder and Executive Chairman said, “Dennis was a devoted steward of this award and a beloved figure in the cricketing community. His contribution helped make the Safe Hands Award one of the most anticipated honours at Cup Match.”
Vincent Hollinsid will cover administration of the award in future, according to the news release.
“Vincent brings a deep understanding of the game and a strong commitment to honouring its traditions,” said Dr. Brown.
“We are confident he will carry forward the award with integrity and excellence.”
The annual award is presented to the player with the best fielding display following the Annual two-day Cup Match Classic in August.
