North and Horseman master the elements at Rubis Energy Karting Championship

The Bermuda Karting Association delivered a masterclass in high-stakes racing as thirty-nine competitors braved mixed conditions for Race Eleven of the Rubis Energy Karting Championship. Shifting between dry and rain-slicked surfaces at the Southside facility, the event became a definitive test of adaptability and tyre strategy.

Jason North asserted his authority in the L206 class, claiming two heat victories. While David Selley managed to snatch a win in the second heat with a clinical late manoeuvre, North regained his composure in the rain to dominate the final race on wet tyres. In the Tag Senior division, Blake Horseman proved untouchable, delivering a perfect sweep of all three heats to cement his status as the man to beat.

The junior categories belonged to Tanner Correia, who enjoyed a stellar double success. Correia took top honours in the Tag Junior class before following it up with a dominant sweep of the Cadet heats.

The gearbox classes remained typically unpredictable; William Dunkley secured two wins in KZ Master, while the standard KZ class saw three different winners in Ryan Burgess, Stephen Corrado, and Horseman. Despite the challenging weather, the depth of Bermuda’s karting talent was on full display as the championship moves toward its final rounds.
