The Health Minsiter provided an update on the seizure of illegal vape products from local retailers

Retailers reportedly found with illegal nicotine-based vape products could face prosecution.
Health officials last week announced that around $30,000 worth of vape products were seized from unlicensed retailers.
Legislation was updated in 2025 to prevent children from the dangers of ingesting nicotine products.
The policy change now permits nicotine products are only sold at registered pharmacies; no longer at convenience stores or services stations.
Minister of Health Kim Wilson said the matter is now before the Department of Public Prosections.
