Racing fans in Bermuda can catch all the action on television, including this weekend’s ITM New Zealand Sail Grand Prix

FEBRUARY 12, 2026, BERMUDA | SailGP, the most exciting racing on water, announced today a new broadcast deal with the Bermuda Broadcasting Company (BBC) as the Rolex SailGP Championship’s official broadcast partner in Bermuda for the 2026 Season, including for the Apex Bermuda Sail Grand Prix from May 9-10.
The BBC, the largest commercial media company in Bermuda, provides local news and entertainment to the island, and through a one-season deal with SailGP will show both live racing and highlights programs on-demand.
The pinnacle of their season coverage will be the Apex Group Bermuda Sail Grand Prix – the fifth stop of the 2026 Rolex SailGP Championship, in which 13 teams will race in identical 50-foot foiling catamarans at speeds that can reach over 100/km per hour. The event will be a spotlight moment for Bermuda, showcasing the island’s spectacular natural beauty and capabilities to host major global events. From pre-race build-up to on-shore events, SailGP will bring its energy to the island with its fan-first approach, redefining the sport by putting spectators and viewers at the heart of the action.

During the 2025 Season, SailGP’s dedicated global broadcast audience soared to nearly 215 million, averaging 18 million viewers per event.
The Rolex SailGP Championship, co-founded by Larry Ellison and Sir Russell Coutts in 2018, is an annual global championship in iconic cities around the world, redefining the sport of sailing with its close-to-shore stadium racing.
The 2026 Season will continue with the ITM New Zealand Sail Grand Prix in Auckland on February 28 and March 1, during which 13 SailGP teams will race in identical 50-foot foiling catamarans faster than wind speeds over 100 kilometers per hour. Following Auckland, the global championship will then head to Sydney and Rio de Janeiro before landing in Bermuda.
