Siblings will lead Lady Gombey Warriors from the dugout

Bermuda’s Senior Women’s national team is preparing for a landmark occasion as they host their first home match of the Concacaf W Qualifiers at the Flora Duffy South Field on March 3rd.

The squad is eager to bounce back on home soil following a mixed start to their campaign, which began with a dominant 4-0 victory over the Cayman Islands in November, followed by a testing 4-1 defeat to Guatemala in December.

The headline for this fixture extends beyond the pitch to a historic first for Bermudian football: a brother-and-sister coaching duo leading the national side. National coach Naquita Robinson will be supported by her brother, Calvin “Patches” Dill, as assistant coach. Dill, currently the head coach of the North Village Rams, brings extensive local pedigree to the international stage as the team looks to navigate a challenging Group C.

While the team remains without LeiLanni Nisbeth, who is unavailable for selection, the roster is bolstered by significant experience. Kenni Thompson, currently among the tournament’s top assist providers, remains a key creative force. The squad also welcomes the return of veteran goalkeeper Kimmisha Perinchief and the inclusion of Madison Mobray.

“Playing at home means everything to us,” said Coach Naquita Robinson. “Once we hear the supporters and feel their energy, it will remind us of who we represent: our families, the community, and everyone who believes in us.”
