Goal is to create jobs and help diversify the economy

A heads-up for entrepreneurs: A Government survey is seeking your input

Government has announced the implementation of a National Entrepreneurship Strategy.

The Strategy will utilize the UN Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Framework, which aims to foster: Supportive policies and regulations; access to finance; culture; infrastructure and support services; nettworking and collaboration.
Minister Hayward told the House of Assembly that entrepreneurship is “a key driver of our economic future … We recognize that small and medium-sized enterprises are the backbone of our economy, and we are dedicated to providing the support they need to flourish.”
The Ministry of Economy and Labour, in collaboration with the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation, has engaged PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory Limited for support.
The Ministry and BEDC are seeking input from stakeholders, including: Entrepreneurs; investors; financial institutions; entrepreneur support organisations; Government departments and quangos.
Mr Hayward said: “The aim is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the current business landscape, identify barriers to growth, and gather innovative ideas for overcoming these challenges.
Stakeholders are being asked to complete a brief survey no later than Monday, July 28th, at 5pm.

Information about the survey can be found on the Bermuda Government’s Bermuda Citizens Forum webpage [https://forum.gov.bm
