Bermudian cyclist Conor White is nearing the end of his participation in the demanding 2025 Tour de la Manche, a gruelling five-day stage race across the Normandy region of northern France. Yesterday saw the peloton tackle the significant 165.6-kilometre fourth stage, a testing route between Saint-Jean-d’Elle and Sourdeval.
The stage victory provided a home triumph for local rider Clément Guilbert, who secured his first Elite win after a strong ride, crossing the line in 4 hours, 3 minutes, and 36 seconds.
White, representing Muc-Off-SRCT-Storck, put in a commendable performance on this challenging day. He finished in a respectable 44th place, clocking a time of 4 hours, 3 minutes, and 50 seconds. Notably, White was just 14 seconds behind the stage winner Guilbert, demonstrating his ability to stay within touching distance of the leading riders in the peloton.
With just one stage remaining in the Tour de la Manche, White’s consistent efforts throughout the race, culminating in this strong showing on Stage Four, will be a positive indicator as he aims to improve his overall general classification in this prestigious French event. The narrow gap to the stage winner suggests White is finishing the race in good form.
