Bermuda’s cyclists delivered a masterclass in Santo Domingo, capping a medal-laden campaign at the 2026 Caribbean Elite & U23 Road Cycling Championships with two titles and a flurry of podium finishes.

The tone was set against the clock, where Kaden Hopkins and Nic Narraway secured an emphatic one-two in the elite men’s individual time trial.

Hopkins stormed to the continental title in 42 minutes 23.239 seconds, with Narraway taking silver just under 38 seconds back in 43:01.017.

Charlotte Millington doubled the gold tally with a sparkling ride in the Under-23 division, clocking 31:45.034 to take U23 gold and fifth overall, while senior team-mate Gabriella Arnold narrowly missed the podium in fourth.

Sunday’s road races brought further drama and silverware. Arnold came agonisingly close to victory in the women’s 81.2km event, edged out in a photo finish by the Dominican Republic’s Raquel Restitullo after both crossed in 2:17:55. Panzy Olander took fifth, while Millington added U23 road silver to her time trial gold.

In the men’s 127.6km race, Puerto Rico’s Christopher Morales Fontán broke away for solo victory before Narraway clinched bronze in a sprint for the podium, clocking 3:12:47 alongside Guyana’s Briton John.

Hopkins followed in seventh, though bad luck struck Alexander Miller, whose race was curtailed by an early puncture, while Conor White and Dominique Mayho bowed out after selfless domestique shifts.
