Jet blast from another aircraft pushed mobile stairs into the fuselage

BermudAir have confirmed that one of their aircraft was temporarily taken out of service following a “minor ground collision”.
The plane, which has since been returned to service, was parked at the terminal in Bermuda on the evening of November 19th.
Another airline’s aircraft was taxiing past on its way to the runway, when a jet blast from the moving aircraft caused a mobile stairs unit to make contact with the fuselage of the BermudAir plane.
A BermudAir spokesperson said there were no injuries to personnel, and the damage to the aircraft was minor.
“The aircraft was inspected and repaired in accordance with manufacturer guidance and has since returned to service”, the spokesperson said.
“BermudAir takes safety and operational integrity seriously. We are working closely with airport authorities and our teams to review procedures and implement measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future.”
