European Union is planning this year to introducing a digital border management system

Bermuda Government’s London Office has advised about new travel requirements for Bermudian UK passport holders, or non-EU nationals.
The introduction date of the new entry requirements has not been confirmed, but the European Union is planning this year to introducing a digital border management system, called the Entry/Exit system – or EES.
It will require British nationals travelling to the Schengen Srea to register their biometric information, such as such as fingerprints and a photograph.
The Schengen Area encompasses 29 European countries that do not have border controls at their mutual borders, and includes France, Germany, Denmark and Switzerland.
This biometric registration will replace the current practice of manually stamping passports upon entry to the EU.
Additionally, the EU is due to introduce a separate system, called the European Travel Information
and Authorization System, or ETIAS.
ETIAS will be an entry requirement for European countries, costing 7-euros for a three-year pass linked to your passport.
