The Supreme Court has ruled in favour of Curtis Dickinson and four other plaintiffs in their legal challenge against the Progressive Labour Party over its membership procedures.
Justice Shade Subair Williams found that key membership restrictions introduced by the PLP were unlawful and could not be applied retrospectively to members who joined by August 31, 2026.
The ruling represents a significant victory for Dickinson ahead of the party’s leadership election.
The PLP says it respects the Court’s decision and will review the judgment with its lawyers before issuing a further statement.
