Motorists urged to plan ahead as officers target drink-driving

Motorists are being warned that police will be carrying out roadside sobriety checkpoints from today through to Monday.
In a post on the Bermuda Police Service’s social media, a police spokesperson stated:
“Please consider whether it is worth the risk and if you are going to drink, do not drive. Have a designated driver, arrange a taxi or make any other necessary arrangements to ensure you get home safely, if you intend to consume alcohol.
Remember, get caught driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs over the weekend and you may not go before a Magistrate until Monday.”
