Saltus Grammar Dominates Middle School Championships

Saltus retains Inter-school Sports Title

Saltus Grammar School delivered a dominant performance at the 2025 Middle School Track and Field Championships, held at the National Sports Centre. They amassed a commanding 607.5 points, defending their overall title with ease. Whitney Institute finished second, some distance behind, with Sandys Secondary Middle School in third.

Saltus also narrowly secured the Girls’ Overall Division, while Whitney Institute comfortably won the Boys’ Division. Individually, Saltus’ Ava St. Luce was crowned Under-12 Girls Champion, winning the 100m and long jump. Teammate Ajani Trott broke the Under-12 Boys’ 400m record. Naomi MacGuinness shattered the Under-15 Girls’ 1500m record.

Sukanya Jobson continued Saltus’ success as Under-13 Girls’ Champion, winning three golds. Leydi Raynor ensured a Saltus clean sweep in Under-13 Girls’ track events. Whitney’s Adaj O’Brien won the Under-13 Boys’ title, while teammate Hasim Ming took double gold. BHS’s Amaya Samuels won the Over-13 Girls’, and Whitney’s Timothy Pearman dominated the Over-13 Boys’ track events.

A dominant display from Saltus, but plenty of individual brilliance across the board, pointing to a bright future for Bermuda’s young athletes.
