Jamie Cann Jr. was charged with the crime today in Magistrates’ Court
A man today has been charged with murder.
Appearing in Magistrate’s court this morning, 31 year-old Jamie Cann Jr. was charged with the unlawful killing of 29 year old Honée Smith.
Ms. Smith was found unconscious on an embankment near Warwick playground last Thursday and later died in hospital.
Cann was not required to enter a plea as the matters is indictable and must be heard in the Supreme Court.
Magistrate Craig Attridge remanded the defendant to the Westgate Correctional Facility.
Cann is due to appear in the Supreme Court during the July arraignment session.
