Bermuda’s Olympic and aspiring Olympic sailors, Adriana Penruddocke and Sebastian Kempe, have finally begun their campaigns at the ILCA World Championships in Qingdao, China, after a four-day weather delay.
In the ILCA 7 Men’s fleet, Sebastian Kempe currently sits in 99th place after two races, accumulating 63 points with finishes of 37th and 26th.
Meanwhile, in the ILCA 6 Women’s fleet, Adriana Penruddocke holds 51st position after three races, with a total of 77 points and individual finishes of 17th, 36th, and 22nd.
Both sailors will be aiming to improve their standings as the championships progress, with a busy schedule anticipated to make up for the lost racing days in Qingdao.
