Bermuda’s dressage competitors have once again showcased their exceptional talent, securing top scores across numerous divisions in the “OVERALL” Regional and Mini Caribbean Equestrian Association’s Dressage Challenge.
In a fantastic display of skill, Bermuda’s CEA Regional Dressage Challenge Adult Team captured first place against Barbados, the Cayman Islands, and Trinidad and Tobago. The triumphant team included Laura Williamson, Vee McKey, and Claire Turner.
Individually, Laura Williamson delivered a stellar performance in the Training Level Test 3, scoring an impressive 72.400% on “Black Tie Affair” to claim the top spot out of 13 competitors. This outstanding score also earned Williamson the coveted title of Overall Adult High Scorer of all competitors in the 2024-25 CEA Regional Dressage Challenge.
Abby Bardgett and Cruise Control secured second place in First Level Test 3 with 66.667%. Vee McKey riding Finest Hour claimed the top regional placing in Second Level Test 3 with 70.476%, with Michael Rodrigues placing second. Claire Turner and Baltazar Olympus captured first in Fourth Level Test 3 with 65.150%.
The Bermuda Children’s team also shone in the CEA Regional Challenge, securing second place to Trinidad & Tobago. The team featured Lila Readdy, Grace Lightowler, and Georgia Hughes. Lila Readdy achieved an admirable second place individually in Training Level Test 3 with 68.8%.
In the CEA “Mini” Dressage Challenge, Bermuda’s Children’s Team further asserted their dominance, securing first place against Bahamas, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, Cayman Islands, and Barbados. This winning team comprised Grace Lightowler, Chloe Mello, and Logan Flood. Individually, Grace Lightowler secured the top placing in Training Level Test 1 with 71.538%, and Victoria Smatt impressed with a third-place finish in Introductory Level Test C.
