23-year-old male suspect caught after a short foot chase
An armed police presence and an arrest on Court Street last night following a report of a firearm incident.
Shortly after 5pm on Sunday, police received a report that a male had brandished a firearm during a dispute with a female, in the area of Spanish Point Park.
Officers were told the suspect had left the location on a motorcycle, in the company of another male.
The 23-year-old suspect was subsequently located on Court Street.
He attempted to flee, but was caught after a short foot chase, arrested and taken into custody.
No firearm was recovered.
