Bermuda;s U19 Rugby Team back in the winner’s circle after losing first 2 matches
Bermuda’s Under-19 Men’s Rugby team has registered their first win at the 2025 Rugby Americas North (RAN) Men’s U19 XVs Tournament in Mexico, defeating Trinidad 10-7 in a hard-fought encounter.
It took 16 minutes for Bermuda to get on the scoreboard, with Osiris Buffonge-Hunt crashing over for their opening try of the tournament. Bermuda doubled their lead early in the second half, but Trinidad responded with a converted try, narrowing the gap to three points. However, Bermuda held firm as time expired, clinching the 10-7 victory.
Later in the day, Bermuda faced a tough challenge against Jamaica, eventually falling 26-3.
The victory against Trinidad marks a significant moment for the young Bermudian squad, who finish their Pool Play campaign with a record of one win and three defeats. Despite the overall tough tournament, this win will undoubtedly provide a much-needed boost for the team.
