Police are urging motorists to exercise extra caution following recent heavy rainfall.

In a statement on its Facebook page, the Bermuda Police Service said the downpours have led to flooding in some areas and caused potholes to reopen in others.

“Motorists are advised to drive with care, particularly when approaching areas where water has accumulated on the roadway,” the post read.

“These conditions can lead to reduced traction and visibility of hazards. Please remain alert, maintain a safe following distance, and reduce your speed.

“Your cooperation can help prevent collisions and keep our roads safer for everyone.”
