Bermudian Olympic swimmer Jack Harvey has begun his campaign at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships, competing in the Men’s 100m Backstroke.
Harvey finished seventh in Heat 3, touching the wall in 55.40 seconds. This time was just shy of his own National Record and placed him 37th overall in the competitive field.
Reflecting on his race, Harvey admitted, “I am disappointed in the back half of the race. I will evaluate and see what can be improved for Junior Pan Ams.”
Head coach Ben Smith added, “He looked really good in his preparation. Sometimes you just don’t have the swim you want. Time to focus on the next event.”
Harvey will now prepare for his remaining events at the Championships, aiming to refine his performance.
