The latest storm advisory

Hurricane Erin is now considered a potential threat to Bermuda. This according to the most recent update from the Bermuda Weather Service. Erin, the first hurricane of the 2025 Atlantic season, has weakened from Category 5 to Category 4. And while no direct landfall on Bermuda is expected at this time, according to the U.S. National Hurricane Center residents should brace for life-threatening surf and rip currents over the next few days.
The NHC says that Hurricane Erin, is tracking northward and is expected to remain far enough offshore to avoid a direct hit on Bermuda. However, its outer bands are likely to produce hazardous conditions, including large swells and strong rip currents along our coasts. The Bermuda Weather service forecasts that Erin’s closest point of approach to the island will be on Thursday at 6am.
