Cricket round-up: Rangers and Warwick secure victories

Southampton Rangers have been crowned champions of the First Division 40-over Knock-Out Final after a convincing six-wicket victory over Devonshire Recreation Club. Devonshire Recreation Club, batting first, posted a total of 176 for 6, with George O’Brien Jr leading the way with a quickfire 52 not out. However, the Rangers’ chase was expertly managed by captain Dalin Richardson, who scored an unbeaten 77 to secure the championship.

In a Premier Division make-up match, Western County Champions Warwick Workmen’s Club secured a five-wicket win against Eastern County Cup holders Cleveland County. Cleveland were bowled out for 179, largely thanks to Steven Bremar Jr’s impressive knock of 92. But Warwick Workmen’s Club successfully chased down the target, with Staphen Dill scoring a blistering 66 to guide his team to victory.
