Terence Dill appointed Houston Red Storm head coach

Franchise legend and recent Hall of Fame inductee Terence Dill has been named head coach of the Houston Red Storm, the organisation confirmed on Monday. Dill, who starred for the club between 2017 and 2021, returns to the franchise to lead the team from the sidelines ahead of the new season.

Owner Larry Leonard said the decision was straightforward. “Bringing Terence back to lead this team was an easy decision,” Leonard said. “His character, knowledge of the game, and commitment to the organisation are second to none. He understands our culture and what it takes to win.”

The appointment has been warmly received in the dressing room. Captain Dylan Spriggins hailed Dill’s professionalism and basketball IQ, while veteran Gabriel Drayton called him a natural mentor. Fellow Hall of Famer Eric Boyd, who met Dill at the team’s inaugural Gala, added that Dill is ready for the challenge.

Dill inherits a Red Storm side entering its 19th season with renewed emphasis on competition and retribution. The club open the campaign on October 17th under their new coach’s stewardship.
