The fatal collision occurred at 4.45am today killing the 24-year-old, according to overseas media
Two Bermudian sisters were involved in a fatal collision early Sunday morning which claimed the life of 24-year-old Brijette Basden.
According to ABC 11, the pair were driving along the I-40 highway westbound lane in Durham, North Carolina, when Brijette pulled over on the interstate to switch seats with her sister, Asrael Basden.
A police report said they were hit by an oncoming 2003 Toyota Camry vehicle as they stood outside their car.
The vehicles collided and was also struck by another vehicle traveling on the interstate, according to the media outlet.
Asrael was hospitalised with non-life threatening injuries and Brijette had died as a result of the collision.
