Use of modular homes suggests housing situation is ‘desperate’, argues Shadow Housing Minister

Politicians have clashed over public housing policy – and specifically, the use of the Bermudiana Beach Residences.
Zane Desilva, Minister of Housing and Municipalities, has essentially accused the Opposition of flip flopping in its stance.
Shadow Housing Minister Michael Fahy counters that concerns raised more than a decade ago are separate from today’s key issue – that empty units are unaffordable and not helping Bermudians in need.
MP Fahy also spoke to Government’s modular housing pilot, which he says may help some families but argues it doesn’t make sense to leave units, elsewhere, unused while people wait.
