Armed police make second arrest within 48 hours

Police confirmed armed officers made two arrests this morning in Paget in relation to the same ongoing investigation that led to the arrest of a suspect in Warwick yesterday.


A spokesperson said, “There have so far been two people arrested in relation to this operation.


“We wish to thank community members who have assisted in furthering this investigation, by highlighting to us, suspicious activity they may have witnessed.”


Bermuda Broadcasting understands at least four police vehicles were in the area while traffic was temporarily disrupted.

“We wish to thank community  members who have assisted in furthering this investigation, by highlighting to us, suspicious activity they may have witnessed. We also wish to assure you that the highest professional standards are maintained by our officers  in operations of this nature.,” they said.


They added, ” Every precaution is taken to ensure there is no threat to the safety and wellbeing of members of the public, as they go about their daily activities.”
