Rider suffers head injuries in Pembroke collision

The Bermuda Police Service said the motorcyclist was rushed to hospital with ‘serious head injuries’ early Saturday morning

Shortly before 1:15 a.m. on Saturday, March 7,  2026, police and Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to a serious single vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorcycle, near the junction of North Shore Road and West Park Lane, Pembroke.

Upon arrival officers discovered the male motorcycle rider lying unresponsive on the roadway. He was attended to at the scene and regained consciousness, before he was transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospitalfor further treatment for what were described as serious head injuries.

The bike rider is reported to have shown signs of impairment.

The collision resulted in the roadway being closed at the collision scene, with traffic travelling west, diverted from North Shore Road onto Berkeley Road.

Traffic traveling east, diverted through West Pembroke School parking area and turned back in a westerly direction onto North Shore Road.

Motorists are advised to avoid North Shore Road in the area of the collision and use alternative routes to get to their destinations.
