Progressive Labour Party Women’s Caucus Marks International Women’s Day 2026 with “Give to Gain” Collage, Meals on Wheels Volunteer Support, and Community Yoga‑Dance
The Progressive Labour Party Women’s Caucus today announced community events to observe International Women’s Day 2026 that celebrate solidarity, self‑care and giving back.
Caucus members will assemble a public collage of women inspired by this year’s International Women’s Day theme, “Give to Gain.” The collage will feature photographs representing women from our membership and will be unveiled online.
In addition, caucus members on March 9th donated meal preparation time to Meals on Wheels in support of their meal distribution.
The caucus will also host a fundraising yoga‑dance session led by Sister Joanne Ball‑Burgess on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church Hall. A suggested $10 donation per attendee and part proceeds will be donated to the Centre Against Abuse to support local programs. Participants of all experience levels are welcome; attendees should bring a mat or towel and wear comfortable clothing.

“Our caucus is proud to mark International Women’s Day by centering both celebration and support,” said the deputy chair of the Progressive Labour Party Women’s Caucus. “The ‘Give to Gain’ collage honors the many roles’ women play in our communities, and the yoga‑dance offers a moment of healing and solidarity while raising funds for survivors.”
The Progressive Labour Party Women’s Caucus is dedicated to advancing gender equity, supporting women in the Labour movement, and building community partnerships that promote safety, health and economic opportunity. The caucus will also be organizing public education and wellness events in the future.
