The Warwick Football Academy and Bermudian prospect Isaac Todd have kicked off their campaigns at the prestigious Easter International Cup in Orlando.
The tournament serves as a high-octane proving ground, featuring elite MLS academies and international heavyweights from Mexico, Colombia, and beyond.
In the Male Under 12 White Division, Warwick Football Academy produced a resilient display to secure a hard-fought 1-1 draw against the Michigan Jaguars.
However, there was heartbreak in the Under 15 ranks. In a pulsating five-goal thriller, Warwick narrowly fell to a 3-2 defeat against FD Football Club 2011 NPL, despite a spirited second-half comeback.
Bermudian Isaac Todd faced a grueling opening day representing the Benfica Residential Academy in the Under 16 Blue Division:
- Match 1: A high-scoring shootout ended in a 5-3 loss to Galacticos Soccer Academy.
- Match 2: The physical toll of the schedule told in a slender 1-0 defeat to Parkland Soccer Club.
Despite the results, the opportunity to compete at the Omni Resort—a premier training base for professional and national teams—provides a vital developmental benchmark. As the group stages continue, the young Bermudians will look to turn these competitive performances into points on the board.
