The Bermudian shot-stopper was forced into action early, producing a phenomenal fingertip save to deny a goal-bound header from Bojan Radulović.
The drama peaked during eight minutes of stoppage time. With the Terriers pushing relentlessly, Trott brilliantly tipped a Marcus McGuane strike onto the crossbar before denying the hosts again from point-blank range.
His heroics ensured Yousef Salech’s earlier goal earned the Bluebirds a vital point on the road.
