Closure moved to Monday, May 11 for community restoration ceremony

Media Release:
The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises the public that the road closure on Mangrove Bay Road in Sandys, from Cambridge Road through to Somerset Road, has been rescheduled.
The closure, which was previously scheduled for Monday, 4 May 2026, will now take place on Monday, 11 May to accommodate a community restoration ceremony.
The road closure will commence at 4:00 p.m., and the ceremony is expected to take place from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Traffic controls will be directed by representatives from Community Restoration Group.
Motorists are advised to use detour routes via Cambridge Road or Somerset Road to avoid the closure. Residents will continue to have access from Cambridge Road to enter their homes on Mangrove Bay Road.
The Ministry encourages full cooperation from the motoring public and apologises for any inconvenience that may arise. Please refer to the attached amended Road Traffic Notice for more information.
