Navigating the treacherous trade winds of the Old Quarry Golf Course, the ten-player squad—led by Captain Tracy Burgess and Vice Captain Maria Harris—distanced themselves from the international field to claim first place in both the Gross and Net Team Events. It was a performance defined by collective depth, with the entire roster, including Valerie Nearon, Tracy Nash, and Ann Symonds, contributing to the dominant display.
Tracy Burgess: Set the pace in the Gross Division with an authoritative eight-over par 80, featuring three birdies and nine pars.
Maria Harris: Topped the Net Division at even par, recovering brilliantly from a quadruple bogey to maintain her individual lead.
Lesley Wollmann: Cemented the net team advantage with a sharp three-over par 75, highlighted by a remarkable five birdies.
Ann Symonds: Bolstered both totals, carding a gross 88 and a net 77, including four birdies in the net category.
