Motorists advised of upcoming road disruptions

Public Works Ministry says trenching, patching and bridge repairs will affect traffic in Devonshire, Paget and Smith’s Parish

The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises the motoring public of three upcoming road traffic disruptions to accommodate trenching, patching, repairs and bridge deck repairs.

Middle Road and Fort Hill Road, Devonshire, will be subject to a lane closure from Monday, 11 May 2026, through Thursday, 14 May 2026, to accommodate Bermuda Link trench works.

Works will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and motorists travelling eastbound and westbound on Middle Road should expect delays due to temporary traffic lights. Detour routes will be available via Tee Street, Montpelier Road and Flora Duffy Hill.

A lane closure will also take place on Tee Street in Paget, from Middle Road to Berry Hill Road, on Saturday, 9 May 2026, to accommodate patching repairs.

Working hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use South Road and Middle Road as detour routes.

In addition, Store Hill in Smith’s Parish will be closed near the Railway Trail on Saturday, 9 May 2026, to accommodate bridge deck repairs. Working hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Access will be permitted to residents and visitors from Middle Road and North Shore Road; however, traffic will not be permitted to pass the bridge near the Railway Trail.

Traffic controls will be in place at the affected locations, and motorists are encouraged to follow all signage and directions from traffic control representatives.

The Ministry thanks the public for its cooperation and apologises for any inconvenience caused. Please refer to the attached Road Traffic Notices for more information.
