Police confirm body found off Pompano Beach
A man has died after being found in the waters off Pompano Beach in Southampton.
The Royal Gazette reporting that police were called shortly before 3:15 yesterday afternoon after receiving a report of an unresponsive man in the water.
The man was discovered by a group of tourists who were kayaking nearby. Emergency medical responders carried out life-saving efforts before he was transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police say an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death is now underway, with no further information being released at this time.
