OBA wants ‘procedural gap’ closed in order to safeguard children

The Attorney General and Minister of Justice said, “We recognise the strength of public feeling on these matters, and where there are constructive recommendations about improving communication, the Ministry is prepared to consider them.”

The Opposition One Bermuda Alliance wants a ‘procedural gap’ closed so that schools are directly notified before convicted sex offenders are released back into the community.


The call was made after the Ministry of Justice notified the public about the release of 66-year-old convicted sex offender, Kevin L Goater.


However, the AG has stated that the appropriate legal steps were taken in this case.
