Starting in April 2025, BermudAir will add Hartford, Raleigh-Durham and Charleston to its repertoire, and give Bermudians a wider range of destinations along the eastern US.
The small Bermuda-based airline launched in August 2023.
CEO Adam Scott says their small but consistent airline model keeps them competitive in a space full of much bigger players:
“…our competitors, they typically fly much larger aircraft, a much higher number of seats… that’s why we have this big seasonality issue where they put a lot of capacity into the market over the summer months, but take it away in the winter months.”
“…we commit to flying to these destinations on a year round basis. And we can do that because we have the right size of aircraft. Therefore, the right economics. And we’re flying point to point markets.”
The route expansion coincides with the addition of two new aircraft, bringing Bermudair’s fleet to four. One of the new aircraft will be fully dedicated to scheduled service, while the other will be used to provide operational flexibility, charter and medevac service.
