Four champions crowned
Freddie Jones, Lewis MacFarlane, Darina Betschart, and Bradford Laing were all crowned division champions after a competitive conclusion to the ICS Tires Cobra Puma Junior Championship at Ocean View Golf Course.
In the headline Boys’ 14-18 division, Jones held his nerve down the stretch to claim top honours, overhauling the field to finish atop the leaderboard. Fletcher Logie took the runner-up spot after setting the opening-round pace, while Nathan Carreiro produced a solid tournament showing to complete the podium in third place.
MacFarlane stamped his authority on the Boys’ 11-13 bracket, converting his dominant day-one cushion across the Devonshire layout into a comprehensive victory. Michael Hinwood finished in second place, with Joshua Cann securing third following a spirited contest.
Betschart sealed the silverware in the Girls’ Division, continuing her fine run of form to capture the title in style.
In the Novice Division, Laing emerged victorious after an impressive display to lift the trophy, finishing ahead of runner-up James Thuell and third-placed Heath Kemp.
