Policing efforts over the festive season resulted in nearly four dozen arrests

The Bermuda Police Service today expressed its gratitude over what was described as a “relatively peaceful holiday period.”
Providing the figures on their policing efforts during Christmas Eve through to January 2nd 2025, a BPS spokesperson said police made 47 arrests, responded to 250 calls for service and engaged with 593 motorists.
Of the 47 arrests made, 9 were for impaired driving with 6 of them originating at the sobriety checkpoints.
21 arrests were made in connection to theft, assault and drug related offenses and 17 were for outstanding warrants.
Commissioner of Police Darrin Simons thanked the community for their cooperation and support.
