Study examines the local vote, through a global lens

The low voter turnout in Bermuda’s recent election is reflective of a global trend

Did you vote in the recent election? If not, why not? If so, what were the most important issues?

An anonymous study led by Cornell University is asking such questions, in an attempt to see how our small democracy compares to much larger ones.

Speaking to Cornell Professor Peter Loewen, Gary Foster Skelton found out that Bermuda is not the only place where fewer voters are making their voices heard.
