Police motorcycle involved in single vehicle collision

The Bermuda Police Service said the collision happened in Smith’s parish Saturday

Roadways have reopened following a single vehicle road traffic collision in Smith’s parish.

Police said the collision involved a police motorcycle near the junction of Paynter’s Road and Harrington Sound Road Saturday afternoon.

Traffic heading in an easterly direction was diverted onto Paynter’s Road while west bound traffic was diverted at Shark Hole Hill along Harrington Sound Road to North Shore Road.

A spokesperson said, “Motorists are advised to use alternative routes to get to their destinations.”

The roads had been reopened to traffic around 3.15pm today.

An update from police on the condition of the rider is expected in due course.
