Bermudian golfer battles testing conditions to sit second at The Melee

Bermudian golfer Dylan Muso produced an eventful, battling level-par opening round to fire himself straight into contention at The Melee in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Representing McDaniel College at the Williamsburg National Golf Club, Muso blended aggressive attacking flair with grit to reach the clubhouse tied for second on the individual leaderboard.
In testing conditions, the Bermudian endured a rollercoaster day across the 18 holes. A dramatic card featured five birdies, eight pars, and five bogeys, but his persistence ensured he stayed hot on the heels of the clubhouse leader heading into the decisive final round.
Muso’s individual heroics provided the undisputed highlight of the day for McDaniel.
His team, the Green Terror, found the going much tougher across the board, finishing day one in seventh place overall on the team leaderboard with a combined 28-over-par total. They now face an uphill task to bridge the gap when play resumes on Tuesday.
