Bermuda’s Paralympian Jessica Lewis has concluded a hugely successful Canadian Track & Field Championships, winning a gold medal in the Women’s 200m Wheelchair event.
The victory marks her second gold of the championships, adding to her win in the 100m and a silver in the 400m. Lewis clocked an impressive time of 30.18 seconds in the final, an improvement on her preliminary time.
She faced a strong challenge from her training partner and rival, Nandini Sharma, who took the silver medal with a time of 30.30 seconds. Jessi Guerrier rounded out the podium with a time of 39.39 seconds.
Lewis’s medal haul in Ottawa underscores her status as a top-tier competitor and highlights her versatility across multiple distances on the international stage.
