Minister of HomeAffairs Alexa Lightbourne said a temporary 20% reduction to prices for essential goods is part of wider reform under the Affordable Bermuda Agenda

Major grocers plus wholesalers have agreed to reduce the price of essential items by 20%, starting November 1st.
This is only in effect for 9 months while grocers await measures to help lower their operating costs.
Alexa Lightbourne, Minister of Home Affairs, spoke with Jasmine Patterson about the first phase of Government’s Affordable Bermuda Agenda.
Following a series of public and stakeholder surveys, she said they’ve taken a laser focused approach to lowering consumer costs.
