Bermuda’s Junior Davis Cup stars have officially ignited their qualifying campaign in Guatemala City, digging deep to secure a hard-fought 2–1 victory over St Kitts & Nevis.
Following a testing start to the NAMCAM Pre-Qualifying Tournament, the trio of Jaden Jones, Michael Collins, and Hasan Khan found their rhythm on the red clay to put their first win on the board.
Jaden Jones set the tone in the opening singles rubber. In a dominant display against Brandon Brisbane, Jones utilized superior court coverage to wrap up a 6-2, 6-2 victory, handing Bermuda an early advantage.
The second singles match proved a more grueling affair. Michael Collins faced a stiff challenge from Omar Mongerie, dropping the first set 6-2 before mounting a spirited fightback to take the second 6-4. However, the momentum shifted once more in the decider, with Mongerie claiming the set 6-2 to level the tie.
With the result resting on the doubles, Jones and Collins reunited to face Gabriel Duggins and Mongerie. Any nerves were swiftly dispelled as the Bermudian duo produced their most clinical tennis of the week.
Demonstrating exceptional chemistry at the net, they blew their opponents away in a one-sided 6-0, 6-1 masterclass to wrap up the overall win.

Having now adjusted to the high-altitude conditions and the demands of the clay, Bermuda will look to carry this winning momentum into their final group fixtures.
