Two pop-ups to draw attention to Global Entrepreneurship Week

The Bermuda Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) is inviting the public to two pop-ups in Hamilton on Monday, November 9th, 2026, with coffee, sweet treats, giveaways and local small businesses,
plus a preview of what’s ahead for Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) Bermuda 2026, taking place November 16th to 22nd. The public is encouraged to stop by either location:

  • 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., outside BEDC, 48 Church Street: Start your morning
with coffee, a sweet treat and the chance to win a giveaway. Meet the BEDC
team, pick up a GEW card with the week’s highlights and find out what’s
    planned.
  • 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., The Sweet Side of Business, outside One Communications, Church Street: Celebrate Bermuda’s entrepreneurs with treats from local small businesses Sweet SAAK Bakery, GlamPop and Dandy Donuts, while a live DJ keeps the energy going.

At both locations, the BEDC team will be on hand to answer questions, share event information and help with registrations and ticket purchases.

Celebrated each November in more than 200 countries, Global Entrepreneurship Week recognizes the entrepreneurs, innovators and small businesses driving economic growth. In Bermuda, the week brings together aspiring and established entrepreneurs through events designed to inform, inspire and connect.

This year’s lineup begins with the Wave of Opportunity Pitch Competition, presented by Global Atlantic in partnership with BEDC, on Monday, November 16th at the Hamilton Princess. Now in its fourth year, the free event sees local entrepreneurs pitch for grant funding in front of a live audience.

On Friday, November 20th, the Inspire Bermuda Festival comes to the Grotto Bay Beach Resort with international speakers including actor Tristan Mack Wilds, Daryl Butler and Buku, alongside Bermudian speakers and talent including Avrel Rose of David Rose, Dion Green, Domico Watson and Shakeem Albouy of WoI.

The next day, Saturday, November 21st, the Inspire Bermuda Film Festival, presented by Surrounded by Stories, takes place at BUEI, showcasing scripted and unscripted films from Bermuda and around the world, with a strong focus on Bermudian filmmakers.

“Global Entrepreneurship Week is about celebrating the people, ideas and businesses shaping Bermuda’s future,” said Erica Smith, Executive Director of BEDC. “Monday is our chance to bring some of that energy into Hamilton before the week begins.

Whether you’re curious about starting a business, already running one or simply want to support local entrepreneurs, we invite you to stop by, meet the team and find out what’s happening throughout the week.”

The Inspire Bermuda Festival and Film Festival are made possible by major partners Bacardi, Bermuda Tourism Authority and Brava, and are presented in partnership with Driven Society. One $150 festival ticket includes access to both events.

Stop by either pop-up on Monday, November 9th, and visit www.gew.bm for the full GEW Bermuda schedule, tickets and registration details.
