Art exhibition celebrates Clyde Best football legacy

The Bermuda Society of Arts debuts the exhibition at the City Hall on Friday evening

Full statement from the BSOA:

The Bermuda Society of Arts will present More Than a Game: From Bermuda’s Fields to the World, an exhibition celebrating Clyde Best and the broader impact of Bermudian footballers on the global game.

The exhibition opens alongside the premiere of the feature documentary Transforming the Beautiful Game: The Clyde Best Story (2026) and will be on view at BSoA from April 17 to May 3, 2026.

Conceived by Dan Egan, with exhibition design by Degan Media and Kathryn Costello Photography, the project also received support from Jasmine Lee and Barbara Dillas. A permanent iteration will be presented later this year at the Diamonds International Building in
Dockyard.

“This is a defining moment for Bermuda and its place in the global game,” said producer Dan Egan. “This exhibition celebrates the talent, resilience, and influence of Bermudian footballers who have helped shape the sport far beyond our shores — led by Clyde’s extraordinary journey.

“We invite everyone to be part of this incredible moment at the premiere of Transforming the Beautiful Game.”

The exhibition opens with a reception on Friday, April 17, from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the Bermuda Society of Arts. Admission is free, with refreshments courtesy of Goslings, official sponsor of the event.
