A 21-year-old-male was arrested for failing to stop for Police and possession of a bladed article

Around 3:10 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, Police Officers were on mobile patrol when they observed a motorcycle travelling at a high rate of speed west along Front Street.
The rider failed to stop for police when instructed to do so.
Officers followed the bike along Front Street and on to Pitts Bay Road, Pembroke, where they saw the rider discard an item into a roadside hedge.
The bike rider turned onto Addendum Lane, and attempted to abandon the bike and escape but was stopped by officers.
The rider, a 21-year-old-male, was arrested for failing to stop for Police. The item he discarded was retrieved and found to be a fixed blade knife.
He was further arrested for possession of a bladed article and is currently detained at Hamilton Police Station.
